Drzewiecki Design is back with another city landmarks pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator. After launching its Washington Landmarks pack in 2020, the developer has now released an updated V2 version, compatible with both MSFS 2020 and 2024. This new version features upgraded textures, additional landmarks, expanded heliports, and enhanced airports, offering a more detailed and immersive rendition of the U.S. capital.
Washington Landmarks MSFS V2 promises a vastly improved cityscape for Washington, with 1,000+ custom landmarks, improved lighting, and detailed modeling of major structures, including the White House and the Pentagon.
In addition to city-wide upgrades, V2 expands Washington’s aviation infrastructure, adding several new airports and heliports, as well as enhanced layouts for existing airfields:
- Newly added airports & bases: Bolling Air Force Base (KBOF), Pentagon Heliport (KJPN), Washington Heliport (DC03), and more.
- New medical and military heliports: 24DC, DC09, DC52, DC17, DC08, and others.
- Upgraded airports: Joint Base Andrews (KADW), Potomac Airfield (KVKX), and College Park Airport (KCGS) feature new layouts and additional aircraft.
Beyond aviation enhancements, this package ensures a visually immersive experience for pilots flying over the nation’s capital. Landmarks such as the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, U.S. Capitol, and the Kennedy Center have been remodeled with high-resolution textures and lighting improvements. The city’s bridges, harbors, and train networks also receive a fresh layer of detail, making low-altitude flights particularly captivating.
Drzewiecki Design also introduces interior modeling for select locations, including the White House, allowing for an even deeper level of exploration.
