4Simmers, a developer known for creating a range of affordable aircraft liveries, mods, and scenery, has launched a new product designed to improve immersion at airports worldwide. The new mod, titled Realistic Vehicles, replaces the default parking lot vehicles in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 with highly detailed, optimized 3D models, aiming to being more variety and realism to ground scenery.
One of the common critiques of default MSFS 2020 scenery is the lack of variety and realism in the vehicles scattered across airport environments. Many of these vehicles appear generic and outdated, often breaking immersion when viewed up close. With Realistic Vehicles, 4Simmers aims to fix that by introducing a diverse range of new vehicle models, making airport surroundings look much more believable in screenshots and while taxiing.

This enhancement is applied across default airports, World Update airports, and even third-party payware sceneries that use MSFS’s built-in vehicle assets. Users can expect a significant upgrade in the overall look of airport car parks, with everything from sedans and compact cars to luxury vehicles and delivery vans making an appearance.
4Simmers promises that Realistic Vehicles has been carefully optimized to maintain smooth performance, ensuring minimal FPS impact even on console. The developers have tested the mod extensively and have already planned updates based on user feedback.
The add-on features:
- Realistic 3D vehicle models: A variety of car types replacing the generic default ones.
- Detailed textures: Vehicles respond naturally to lighting conditions, rain, and snow.
- Plug-and-play functionality: Works seamlessly upon installation, requiring no manual setup.
- Compatibility across all airports: Any scenery using MSFS’s default vehicle placement will benefit from the new models.
Realistic Vehicles is available for purchase on the MSFS Marketplace for $7.99 USD.
