Just as promised a few days ago, Parallel 42 has just launched today its latest aircraft-specific effects package for Microsoft Flight Simulator, this time dedicated to the Boeing 777.

When Parallel 42 released the SimFX add-on utility last month, which adds a series of impressive visual effects to the simulator, they also promised that the tool would be augmented with aircraft-specific expansions. This started with the A320 and now continues with the release of 777 Immersion, dedicated to the wide-body airliner in PMDG’s recently released rendition of the 777 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with support for Captain Sim’s version coming soon too!

As expected, the 777 Immersion package was created to enhance the visual fidelity of the Boeing 777, providing a suite of effects that simulate real-world atmospheric interactions. Users can expect to see detailed engine condensation effects, wingtip vortices, and contrails that dynamically react to the environment. Additionally, the package includes impressive fuel jettison effects and intricate cloud illumination, adding depth and realism to every flight. But there’s much more!

Here’s a list of the effects included in the 777 Immersion package by Parallel 42:

  • APU Heat Blur (Improved)
  • Brake Dust
  • Cloud Effects
  • Cloud Illumination
  • Contrails (Improved)
  • Engine Chine Vortices
  • Engine Cold Start
  • Engine Condensation
  • Engine Heat Blur (Improved)
  • Engine Ingest Vortices
  • Fuel Jettison
  • Hot Brakes Smoke
  • Skid Marks (Improved)
  • St. Elmo’s Fire
  • Waste Water Drain
  • Water Droplets
  • Wheels on Rain (Improved)
  • Wing Condensation
  • Wing Vortices

Built on the innovative SimFX framework, which is a requirement to get the 777-focused expansion, this effects pack promises not only stunning visual effects but also a minimal impact on system performance.

If you’ve been flying the excellent PMDG 777 and want to enhance the experience with stunning visual effects, 777 Immersion from Parallel 42 could be the icing on the cake!

Parallel 42’s 777 Immersion is available now from the developer’s website and Contrail, priced at $15.00 USD + applicable taxes.
