Just a few days ago, we reported on Orbx’s announcement about the upcoming Detroit Metropolitan Airport and Landmarks Pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Today, the first part of this duo – the Detroit Landmarks Pack – is available for purchase!
Detroit, a city famed for its arts, architectural brilliance, and legendary automotive history, is brought to life in stunning detail with this new release. The Detroit Landmarks Pack features over 52 meticulously crafted landmark buildings and structures, giving simmers a chance to dive into the heart of the Motor City.

- Detailed representation of the waterfront and industrial areas along the Detroit River.
- A large amount of highly detailed generic models that replace the city’s photogrammetry data, including models for cranes, chimneys, vehicles, structures and much more.

Besides recreating the city scape with all new buildings and other varying structures, Orbx has also made extensive enhancements to terraforming, vegetation, and the placement of generic buildings.
As for KDTW Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Orbx said that it would follow shortly after the release of the Landmarks pack. While there’s still no release date for that one, the studio hinted at potential bundle deals.
