Save flight situations directly to specific locations on a map with Flightsave for MSFS

An interesting set of features for those looking for an alternative way to save their flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Roar Kristensen, developer of the FStarter24 app that we featured a while back, has released a handy new tool for Microsoft Flight Simulator. It’s called Flightsave and, as the name implies, it allows users to create and save flight situations directly to specific locations on a map, providing a streamlined approach to managing flight scenarios.

Key Features

User-Settable Titles and AutoSave Functionality

Flightsave enables users to save their flights with custom titles, facilitating easy identification and retrieval. The tool also includes an AutoSave function, allowing automatic saving of flight situations at user-defined intervals.

Customizable Weather and Time Settings

Flightsave allows flights to be saved with user-selected weather profiles and time settings, ensuring that specific conditions can be replicated when a flight is loaded.

Simple Loading of Saved Flights

Loading a saved flight in Flightsave is straightforward, involving a click on the corresponding marker on the map. This functionality is available at any time, allowing users to return to saved flight scenarios whenever they choose.

Interactive Map with Real-Time Positioning

The tool features a dynamic map displaying flight markers and a moving airplane symbol, indicating the aircraft’s exact location in real-time.

Compatibility and Availability

Flightsave offers an interesting set of features for those looking for an alternative way to save their flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator and return to them at a later date. The developer says that Flightsave is compatible with all airplanes in MSFS, but it seems the app doesn’t manage aircraft settings, as the developer encourages users to use Active Pause after loading a flight to change these settings.

Flightsave for MSFS is available via simMarket for around $10 USD.
