Carenado announces a new airplane for MSFS: the Piper Archer II

The prolific team at Carenado has announced today a new small airplane for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The PA28-181 Archer II, an old staple of general aviation and a classic Carenado product of older times, is now making its way to the modern age in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

As usual, Carenado unveiled this new aircraft through the company’s social media, along with a selection of extremely beautiful preview images. Carenado never disappoints in this area and the Archer is already looking very inviting!

Carenado is very sparse in details and lets the images speak for themselves. Once again, we’re looking at a striking model of an aircraft, with beautiful modeling and very impressive texturing. This Piper Archer seems to be a well-used aircraft, with wear and tear throughout the exterior and interior, as can be seen by oil streaks in the fuselage, chipped paint on the yokes, and even worn-out leather seats. It looks amazing!

Carenado says that the Archer II comes to MSFS after plenty of requests from users who would like to see the aircraft represented in the simulator. Carenado answered those pleas and will soon deliver the goods!

How soon, remains to be seen. “Very“, in Carenado’s words, but this can either mean a few days to a few weeks… The PC-12, for example, launched in September following numerous setbacks, so we never know how much a project is affected by unforeseen events either in the product itself or the platform it’s aimed for.

In any case, the Archer II looks very much done, so we bet it will really come to Microsoft Flight Simulator really soon. Until then, enjoy the first images of the aircraft!
