FeelThere releases Las Vegas International airport for MSFS

FeelThere is very active in this month of December, with two major airport releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator. After LAX earlier this month, the developers have now released the biggest airport in Nevada: KLAS Las Vegas International Airport.

KLAS was known until this year as McCarran International Airport, a name that has now been changed to Harry Reid International Airport, after former Senator Harry Reid.

With four runways and two passenger terminals, KLAS is capable of handling a huge number of airplanes and passengers. In fact, it´s one of the top ten busiest airports in the United States, having reached an all-time high of more than 50 million passengers in 2019.

FeelThere is now launching this new airport for MSFS, where it will face stiff competition from a highly regarded third-party studio, FlyTampa, who released their own depiction of KLAS (along with many landmarks in the city itself) just about a year ago.

FeelThere is probably trying to lure potential customers by slightly undercutting FlyTampa’s offering, but with just a $3.00 difference it’s hard to see pricing as a major deciding factor between the two.

In any case, FeelThere says they have recreated KLAS for MSFS with detailed 3D modeling and PBR textures. Expect to see custom lighting and markings all around.

FeelThere’s Las Vegas International Airport is now available directly from the developer’s website or through other vendors such as Aerosoft.

Main features:

  • Custom ground lines and buildings
  • Highly detailed textures, Physically Based Rendering (PBR), reflective and realistic textures
  • Custom taxiway lighting and apron lights
