UK2000 announces Cardiff Airport for MSFS

British developer UK2000 is wrapping up a new airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, UK2000 has turned to Wales and its biggest airport, near the capital city of Cardiff.

Cardiff Airport (EGFF) is the busiest in Wales, with more than 1.5 million passengers handled per year. Like many airports in Britain, Cardiff Airport has a history that dates back to World War II, when it played an important role in the war effort. After being left abandoned after the war, the site eventually became a commercial airport, a role that it has played ever since. Nowadays, Cardiff Airport serves not only international flights to several European destinations but also handles business and GA operations.

UK2000 is now putting some final touches on this rendition of Cardiff Airport for MSFS. Cardiff 2021HD, the official product name, is currently under beta testing, due to be released soon. The developer says it’s won’t be coming out in time for Christmas, but it shouldn’t be too far off after that.

While we wait for the release of this new custom airport in the UK, check below the initial set of images that serve as a preview of what to expect from this scenery, such as static aircraft, realistic buildings and ground markings, custom night lighting, and more.

For other UK airports from UK2000, check the previously released Jersey Airport, Isle of Man, Glasgow International Airport, or Luton Airport.
