CanadianFlightSimStudios releases CYAZ Tofino/Long Beach Airport for MSFS

Today we turn to Canada with two new airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator. After featuring London International Airport earlier today, recently released by FSimStudios, we now introduce you to another airport from a (weirdly) similarly named development studio, CanadianFlightSimStudios, who released Tofino/Long Beach Airport (CYAZ) earlier this month.

Tofino/Long Beach Airport is located in the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, British Columbia, just a quick flight away from KSEA, CYVR or CYYJ, three major airports Canadian Airports along the west coast. It’s an airport with a long history that goes back to WWII, where it played an important role for RCAF operations in the region from 1943 to 1945.

Although this airfield continued to operate during the subsequent decades, it was only after 2010 that activity picked up somewhat, after the construction of a small hangar offering some useful facilities for visitors. Also, night lighting was added, which enabled operations after dusk in the airport. Nowadays, CYAZ accommodates some regional airlines that handle the increase in tourism traffic.

CanadianFlightSimStudios used extensive reference materials gathered on the site to recreate this airport with impressive detail. With high-quality buildings and textures, an accurate rendition of the terminal interior and custom lighting, markings and signage, Tofino/Long Beach Airport by CanadianFlightSimStudios looks like a great little airport to explore, an interesting base to discover this beautiful section of Canada.

Long Beach/Tofino Airport is now available for MSFS for just C$13.00.
