Using FlyTampa’s Las Vegas in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has been a gamble that some virtual pilots were losing. Using the scenery with the latest simulator results in severe elevation conflicts, with reports of runways buried in the terrain and ILS approaches on Runway 26L guiding airliners into the dirt short of the threshold. FlyTampa has finally addressed these compatibility issues with the release of KLAS Las Vegas V3, a native update that stabilizes the airport while adding significant new landmarks like the Formula 1 circuit.
The primary driver for this release isn’t just visual polish but essential rescue work. Since the launch of MSFS 2024, the community has been vocal about the “broken” state of Vegas, with reports of aircraft wheels clipping through terrain or auto-land systems aiming for the dirt before the threshold.
FlyTampa states that V3 corrects these airfield elevations to match real-world data and, crucially, fixes the ILS approach issues.
The F1 Circuit and Topgolf
Beyond the repairs, this update brings Vegas visually up to date with 2026. The headline feature is the inclusion of the Formula 1 circuit layout, a massive infrastructure change that physically altered the real-world strip and is now reflected in the simulator.
The developer has also added Topgolf Las Vegas and Taxiway C, ensuring the taxi routes match current charts.
FlyTampa has confirmed a $5.99 upgrade fee for existing owners who purchased through their own website.
