What a week for business jets this was. Even though they launched a brilliant new plane, the Hawker 800XP, FlightFX still had some spare time to update their Cessna C750 Citation X to version 2.2. This may not be a recently released airplane, but it’s certainly one of the best “bizjets” out there, topping the Microsoft in-game Marketplace for weeks since release. Recently, it was updated to the brand new Version 2, almost an overhaul to some of the plane’s systems and dynamics. Now the new version comes to address some fixes and tweak some of the logics.
On the Flight Management System, the team fixed a couple of important issues, the ability to select BARO selection between IN/HPA, and there was also some VNAV work, which will now obey to At-Or-Above or At-Or-Below constraints, this one a kind of annoying bug. But the new version also adds important features, like the new settings to reset the flight plan and a complete factory reset on the FMS and the VREF/VAPP speeds source is now the actual plane’s reference card in specific conditions. There are also other important fixes, such as the EGPWS no longer cutting off altitude callouts, autothrottle now provides adequate power during FLCs, the pitot covers now work again and the cabin interior had some more polishing.
FMS
- Fixed EFB / World Map route imports leaving oceanic fixes as
---°/0.0 NMlegs. - EXEC is ignored while a route import is still in progress.
- Direct-to a waypoint already in the plan now uses the existing leg. Nearby direct-to targets are no longer skipped on activation.
- New SETTINGS page (from INDEX) with RESET FPLN and FACTORY RESET.
- All ETAs and dates are now shown in UTC.
- PERF DATA: fuel required and ETE now match PROG, stale predictions clear to dashes, and the page no longer locks up without a flight plan.
- Landing VREF/VAPP now come from the Citation X reference card by weight, with flaps 15, anti-ice, altitude and temperature corrections.
- QNH on performance pages follows the BARO IN/HPA selection.
- VNAV now honours AT-OR-ABOVE / AT-OR-BELOW constraints at the first approach waypoint instead of forcing an AT crossing there.
EGPWS
- Altitude callouts are no longer cut off or suppressed by EGPWS alerts, and only fire while descending.
- EGPWS TEST clears itself after the sequence. The ANUN knob position now plays the aural test.
- MFD EGPWS menu highlights reflect live system state.
PFD
- HSI FMS course needle and DTK show as soon as an active leg exists, not only once LNAV is tracking.
Autothrottle
- Fixed autothrottle not providing sufficient power during flight level change climbs.
Systems
- Fixed pitot covers not working.
- Fixed inHg / hPa units being swapped across the avionics.
- Fixed standby power not powering the correct instruments.
EFB
- Fixed the throttle calibration page and added a reverse-on-axis button.
Interior
- Fixed misaligned passenger placement in the lavatory.
- Fixed cabin seat textures being too washed out.
- Regenerated interior LODs so LOD1–6 use the same materials as LOD0.
- Added missing food 3D models.
The FlightFX Cessna C750 Citation X is available to purchase on the MSFS 2024 Marketplace. This update will be available to install from “My Library”. Remember, if you have the plane installed (not streamed) and it is loaded on the Simulator’s home screen, pick a default plane before updating or the installation will fail.
