No, this is not yet the big overhaul we’re expecting for the longest Airbus ever built. Aerosoft and ToLiss announced that their A340-600 was updated to version 1.0.5, aiming to streamline the aircraft regarding visual performance. Perhaps this is just a precursor to that bigger 3D model update we’re all expecting.
After the tremendously negative impact the recent release of the Airbus A330-900 NEO caused around Aerosoft, it’s good to see the German company continues on their “business as usual” flow. The A346 is arguably their biggest release in terms of aircraft in recent years, taking on the renowned expertise from the ToLiss team. Unfortunately, the aircraft is still not perfect and does require some more polishing, just like this small update.

The changelog (below) is quite small with only two entries. But they are quite important, nevertheless. The aircraft loading time was indeed a bit long, just long enough to be noticed. There’s no word on what caused it, but it now seems to be mitigated. As for the other entry, MSFS freezes are a bit circumstantial and perhaps not observed by all users. Of course, crashes to desktop (CTD) must all be addressed in due time.
Changelog Aerosoft A340-600 Professional v. 1.0.5:
- Reduced aircraft loading time
- Fixed issues that could lead to MSFS freezes or CTDs
The Aerosoft/ToLiss A340-600 Professional is available to buy on the Aerosoft and Contrail online shops. The update above can be performed via the proprietary platform Aerosoft One.
