Aerosoft and ToLiss make the A340-600 Pro native to MSFS 2024 in update 1.0.3

The third update since launch brings the four-engine widebody fully into the MSFS 2024 ecosystem, along with a configurable turbulence model and taxicam restoration.

Version 1.0.3 of the Aerosoft/ToLiss A340-600 Pro is out now, and the main change is the migration to MSFS 2024’s native modular simobject structure, along with the addition of LODs, which directly affects how the aircraft performs in terms of frame rates, especially at busy airports and in multi-aircraft situations.

Turbulence, taxicam, and display refresh

Beyond the MSFS 24 migration, 1.0.3 adds something that’s been missing from a lot of add-on aircraft: a custom turbulence model. Aerosoft says the intensity can be user-adjusted directly in the EFB, giving you control over how much the aircraft responds to atmospheric turbulence.

One of the coolest features of this aircraft, the taxicam, is also back. It was removed in a previous build due to compatibility issues following SU5, and this update restores a reworked version. If you were using it before and found it missing, it should now be working again.

Also returning is user-selectable display refresh rate, which helps owners running higher-refresh-rate monitors tune the cockpit screens to their setup. There’s also a specific FPS improvement tied to navigation display route drawing, which was flagged by users as a performance drain during complex flight plans.

WINCTRL compatibility and the rest of the changelog

Aerosoft says it has addressed its side of the integration with the WINCTRL FCU and MCDU hardware, with a corresponding firmware patch on WINCTRL’s end already announced.

There’s a solid list of additional smaller fixes in this update. Check them all out below. If you already own the A340-600 Pro, the update should be available through your usual download channel now. If you’re still on the fence, you can pick it up via Aerosoft or through Contrail.
