Orbx’s Jurassic World: Archipelago has arrived in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Marketplace, which also means the experience is now available to Xbox simmers for the first time.
Since its debut two months ago, the package has already grown. Orbx says several upgrades have been delivered based on community feedback, including improved audio and refinements across the islands. This Marketplace edition also introduces three new missions set on Isla Sorna, each built around rescue scenarios with original music and extended sound effects.
“Players have been asking for Marketplace and Xbox since release, and we’re glad to make it happen,” said Orbx CEO Anna Cicognani. She also noted that a MSFS 2020 version is in development and not far off.
To celebrate the release, Jurassic World: Archipelago is currently 20% off in the Marketplace, bringing the price to USD 19.99 for a limited time.
What the package includes
Jurassic World: Archipelago was created in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences and recreates the Muertes Archipelago off the coast of Costa Rica, including Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna and the remaining islands of the Cinco Muertes chain. The project also brings the franchise’s prehistoric inhabitants into the simulator, featuring species such as Tyrannosaurus rex, Brachiosaurus, Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, and more.
The add-on covers:
- Six islands modeled from film references and archival material
- Nine airfields and twelve helipads across the archipelago
- A set of structured activities that include VIP transport, photography tours and bush-flying challenges
- Custom scenery for Juan Santamaría International Airport and Los Sueños Marina on the Costa Rican mainland
- Animated dinosaurs and environmental storytelling based on the films
- The three new rescue missions added for this Marketplace release
The full list of locations, airstrips and helipads spans Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna, Isla Muerta, Isla Matanceros, Isla Tacaño, Isla Pena, and two mainland areas. Orbx has published detailed reference pages about each island and each dinosaur species on the official project site.
