Carenado’s Beechcraft 390 Premier IA has just landed in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, available now exclusively through the in-sim Marketplace. This marks Carenado’s first business jet for the 2024 platform.
The Premier IA is a twin-engine jet known for combining speed, efficiency, and comfort in a compact airframe. First flown in 1998, it was produced by Beechcraft through the late 2000s and remains notable for its extensive use of composite materials and its distinctive low-wing, T-tail design. The carbon fiber fuselage helps reduce weight while providing a roomy cabin that accommodates up to six passengers plus one or two pilots.
Powered by two Williams FJ44-2A turbofan engines, each producing 2,300 pounds of thrust, the Premier IA can cruise at around 370 knots and reach a maximum speed of approximately 450 knots.
In this release, Carenado brings several features to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, including:
- 8 liveries plus one white paint
- Collins Pro Line 21 Integrated Avionics System
- Collins Flight Guidance Panel (FGP) Autopilot
- Collins Display Control Panel (DCP)
- Collins Flight Management System (CDU-3000)
- High-quality digital sounds
- Realistic flight dynamics
- MSFS 2024 Career Mode integration with a “Charter Service” mission profile
The B390 arrives with Carenado’s characteristic focus on visual detail, from the sleek carbon fiber fuselage to the fully modelled cabin and cockpit, but the inclusion of the Collins Pro Line 21 suite also marks a notable step up in avionics fidelity for the developer’s modern business jets.
As with previous releases, the aircraft is available only via the in-sim Marketplace, priced within Carenado’s usual range for premium GA and light jet add-ons. No word yet on a version for MSFS 2020, but if Carenado’s most recent releases are of any indication, we should also see the B390 there soon.
