SayIntentions.AI has announced a major update that expands its AI-driven ATC and traffic ecosystem in Microsoft Flight Simulator with the introduction of live general aviation traffic. The update, now available in beta for all active subscribers on MSFS 2020 and 2024, aims to bring small airports and regional fields to life with realistic AI activity.

General aviation traffic and ATC

According to the developers, GA traffic now spawns at parking ramps, requests taxi clearance, departs, and either works the pattern or leaves the area before returning. The system also supports sequencing, spacing, and go-arounds, with aircraft making standard calls on both controlled and uncontrolled fields. Users can adjust the intensity of GA and commercial traffic independently, with separate sliders.

SayIntentions.AI states that coverage is already available at more than 16,000 airports worldwide, thanks to TaxiTune profiles configured with GA parking. Airports missing parking spots can be updated by users, allowing them to activate GA activity at their preferred locations.

Gate 404 Club

Alongside GA traffic, the team has introduced the Gate 404 Club, a career-style progression system that creates a digital pilot identity. Pilots receive a virtual badge tied to their account, with details such as name, home airport, and insignia.

Progression is tracked across three categories:

  • VFR flying advances through logged hours.
  • IFR flying also progresses by hours flown.
  • SkyOps (search and rescue, firefighting, special operations) advance through missions completed.

Leaderboards refresh throughout the day, and public profiles enable pilots to share their hours, landings, and activity logs. The developers say that partner members will receive a physical version of their badge as part of a merchandise package.

Scratchpad for PocketSky

A new Scratchpad feature has also been added to the PocketSky mobile companion app. It offers templates designed to replicate a kneeboard, enabling pilots to quickly jot down clearances, taxi instructions, frequencies, and approach notes using a touchscreen or stylus. Very useful!

Availability

The GA traffic update is live now for all SayIntentions.AI subscribers on MSFS 2020 and 2024. The Gate 404 Club and Scratchpad are also available as part of this week’s release.
