MSFS Passenger Map is a new freeware tool that replicates the familiar moving map displays found on airliners, designed to run in a browser on a tablet or second monitor. Developed by ixvst01, it displays your aircraft’s real-time position, speed, altitude, route, local times, and other useful flight information in a layout similar to those seen on commercial passenger screens.
This tool was quietly released on Flightsim.to in June and recently received a major update that significantly expands its capabilities. The developer, who cites FeelThere’s classic “MAP!” addon for FSX as inspiration, originally created the project as a personal challenge, but has now decided to share it with the community.
The app runs locally on your PC using SimConnect, with no installation required. Once launched, users can access the interface through any browser on the same network, so it’s ideal for use on a tablet, phone, or second monitor.

Key features:
- Real-time aircraft tracking on customizable maps
- Displays altitude, ground speed, ETA, and local times at departure and arrival
- Visual trail of your route, including flown path and remaining distance
- SimBrief integration to display airline logo, aircraft type, schedule, and route
- Flight Info panel toggle and multiple aircraft icon options
- Customizable settings: unit system, line color/thickness, label type, and map zoom cycling
- Runs via local IP for use on mobile devices or tablets
- Full localization support for 34 languages
The most recent v1.5 update introduced a settings menu, new map themes, performance optimizations, and fixes for browser slowdowns during long-haul flights. Users can now choose between several map styles—including Esri Topographic and OSM Humanitarian—and customize the interface in detail, from label styles to automatic zooming behavior.

The developer notes some limitations due to the Mercator map projection when crossing the International Date Line or flying near the poles, but these are cosmetic rather than functional.
The utility remains under active development, with the creator open to feedback and suggestions.
For a lightweight, customizable way to bring an airline-style passenger screen into your sim, MSFS Passenger Map is a handy freeware tool that adds a fun extra detail to your flights.
MSFS Passenger Map is available as a free download from flightsim.to.
