FlightFX hasn’t exactly been lying low lately. Between the release of the Piaggio P.180 Avanti II, updates for MSFS 2024 aircraft, and steady trickles of development news for their bizjet lineup, the studio has kept a steady rhythm of updates. And now, they’ve added more fuel to the fire with the first in-sim look at the Embraer ERJ145 and a fresh round of visuals for the Challenger 350.
First look: Embraer ERJ145
One of the latest updates from FlightFX includes our first in-sim look at the ERJ145, which FlightFX announced earlier this year. The images show a work-in-progress build of the aircraft inside the sim, which is still early in development.
Alongside the images, FlightFX confirmed the three variants they plan to include: the E145XR, E145LR, and E145EP. Each one features subtle performance and range differences in the real world, and it’ll be interesting to see how FlightFX plans to represent these variations in the sim.
There’s no word yet on release timing, but the project seems to be moving steadily.
Challenger 350 keeps growing
In a separate update shared this week, the team revealed a fresh batch of visuals for the Challenger 350, their in-progress mid-size business jet. This time, the focus is on the cabin, cockpit, and finer design elements — from the wood textures in the galley to the plush seats in the flight deck.
The team says the art department is still at it, refining the model “from tip to tail.” No specific functionality or systems talk yet — but if past releases are anything to go by, we can expect custom avionics, a polished visual model, and excellent sounds, at the very least.
The roadmap grows
Between the CL35, Citation X, and now the ERJ145 lineup, FlightFX is carving out a substantial portfolio in the MSFS ecosystem. With the Avanti II now out in the wild and receiving wildly positive feedback, attention is now shifting toward these upcoming aircraft over the course of the year.
