Got Friends releases Project Crosskart for Microsoft Flight Simulator

A new way to explore the world in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
by Vasco Ferreira

Got Friends has just released Project Crosskart, their first add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 after contributing to some of the default airplanes included in the sim, introducing a new way to explore the simulator’s evolving terrain and road network.

The release of Project Crosskart marks the first major project from Got Friends since the launch of MSFS 2024, following a period of quiet development due to non-disclosure agreements related to the first-party developments.

A new way to explore the world in Microsoft Flight Simulator

With Asobo’s improved FetchX engine powering MSFS 2024, the simulator now supports a greater variety of terrain types, increased road detail, and more driveable surfaces. Project Crosskart takes full advantage of these upgrades, offering a highly detailed off-road vehicle with fully custom physics designed by GotGravel.

Project Crosskart is built from the ground up with custom engine simulation, gearbox mechanics, traction control, rev limiters, suspension dynamics, and hill climb capabilities. The vehicle’s rear-wheel drive system provides an impressively realistic off-road experience, making it a unique addition to the simulator’s list of unconventional but undeniably fun vehicles.

Got Friends recommends using an Xbox controller for the best experience, taking advantage of the default MSFS 2024 control profile. However, the Crosskart is also compatible with a wide range of input devices, including HOTAS setups, joysticks, yokes, and even steering wheels with pedals. A visual guide for Xbox controller inputs has been provided by the developers, which you can see below.

Availability

Project Crosskart is compatible with both MSFS 2020 & 2024, and it’s available now for $9.99 USD via the Got Friends store. It should also come soon to the MSFS Marketplace!
