With Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on the horizon, Microsoft is gearing up for the release with the unveiling of key new partners, particularly in peripherals. The first of these is Pimax, which has been named the official VR partner for MSFS2024, specifically highlighting the Pimax Crystal Light headset as an excellent choice for simmers looking to experience MSFS2024 in virtual reality.

In a post on the MSFS website, Microsoft acknowledges the importance of high-quality VR technology for the platform’s fanbase, stating, “We have an incredible, dedicated VR fanbase in our community, and we know how important the right headset is when flying! The Pimax Crystal Light is a great PCVR headset for flight simmers who crave stunning clarity and deep immersion and a fantastic choice to experience Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in stunning detail.”

Microsoft and Asobo have confirmed that MSFS2024 will fully support VR from its launch on November 19, 2024, with improved VR performance and enhanced graphical fidelity.

Pimax Crystal Light details

We reviewed the Pimax Crystal Light a few months ago and found it to be a compelling option for VR enthusiasts. The Pimax Crystal Light headset offers 2880×2880 resolution per eye, with refresh rates up to 120 Hz, ensuring smooth and responsive visuals for MSFS2024 users. The headset also provides vibrant colors and clarity, enhancing both cockpit detail and environmental immersion, partly thanks to its wide sweet spot.

As part of this collaboration, Pimax is offering a promotional discount for those interested in joining the VR experience with the Crystal Light headset. Users can apply the coupon code MSFS2024 at checkout on the Pimax website to receive a $10 discount on the purchase of the Crystal Light. While the discount may seem modest for a headset that starts at $799, the Pimax Crystal Light is widely regarded as a competitive option in the high-end VR market.

For users looking to optimize their MSFS2024 VR settings, Pimax offers access to its community Discord server, where users and official Pimax representatives provide tips and settings guidance. Further details about the Pimax Crystal Light and its compatibility with MSFS2024 can be found on the official Pimax page.
