Aerosoft has released the A330 CEO Base Pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator, catching the flight sim community a bit off guard. The product aims to provide a functional and visually detailed A330 experience, focusing on simulating the everyday operation of this twin-engine airliner.
This release includes the Pratt & Whitney engine variant of the A330 and comes with 11 liveries, representing various airlines such as American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Korean Air.

Aerosoft has implemented a custom fly-by-wire system, various autopilot modes, and an EFB that supports ground services management, performance calculations, and SimBrief integration. The package is designed around the day-to-day piloting experience, with features like sound effects, animations, and MSFS-based texturing aimed at creating an immersive environment.
However, the release includes certain limitations. Features such as holds in the flight management system, several MCDU functions, and terrain display in the navigation display are absent.
The initial reaction to the Aerosoft A330 has been mixed. Early previews that are popping up today on YouTube express disappointment over the missing features, especially those essential for more complex and realistic flight scenarios, such as holds and complete MCDU functionalities. This release clearly targets simmers looking for a somewhat more casual experience rather than a “study-level” aircraft.
Aerosoft has stated that an update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be provided free of charge, potentially indicating plans for ongoing development and future enhancements. Despite the current limitations, this may provide some optimism for users hoping for expanded functionality in the future.
The Aerosoft A330 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is now available, priced at €25.20 + VAT.
