Bluebird Simulations has released a new video showcasing the stunning sound design for their highly anticipated Boeing 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The update, focusing on audio fidelity, features Boris Vanian from Boris Audio Works, who is lending his talent to make the 757 sound as accurate and realistic as possible in MSFS.
Boris has spent several months working on this project as the sound design lead, and the results are starting to speak for themselves. In the video, we can hear a near-complete flight experience, featuring everything from pre-flight announcements to touchdown. Notable elements include realistic cockpit ambient noise, detailed engine sounds, and authentic cabin announcements. It’s a true showcase of how an aircraft should sound in Microsoft Flight Simulator!
While Boris expressed satisfaction with the current state of the audio package, he noted that some elements, including engine start-up and shutdown sequences, are still being fine-tuned.
Addressing release plans, Sherwin from Bluebird Simulations clarified once again that the 757 is an MSFS 2020 project, with a free update to MSFS 2024 coming later.
Sherwin also admits that meeting a 2024 release date is becoming increasingly challenging. “It’s getting very tight,” he says in the video, expressing uncertainty about making the deadline. However, the team’s focus remains on quality over rushing the product to market, especially since this is their first release. It’s understanding, surely everyone prefers a delay into 2025 if it means a truly excellent rendition of the 757.
Bluebird Simulations promises more updates in the coming months, with a detailed systems showcase expected in late October or mid-November.
