SamScene’s USA Modern Cities series for MSFS enhances iconic cities in the United States
SamScene recently released Vol.2 of its USA Modern Cities series for Microsoft Flight Simulator. These add-ons bring to life some of the most iconic cities in the United States with stunning detail and realism, significantly upgrading the urban landscapes of major cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and more. The USA Modern Cities series by SamScene debuted in September and is now on its second Volume. According to the developers, the primary aim of these scenery packs is to showcase Microsoft Flight Simulator’s USA photogrammetry at its best, augmented with additional feature buildings for an enhanced simulation experience. It’s essentially a landmarks pack that integrates seamlessly with the existing photogrammetry in each city.
Volume 1 encompasses four major cities: Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Miami. SamScene added 60 meticulously crafted buildings that showcase the unique architectural styles of each city. Besides that, the developers have optimized the existing photogrammetry in each city, rectifying textures, structures, bridges, and shores, while introducing new buildings, structures, and terrain features.
As for Volume 2, it was released just a few days ago and is dedicated to four new cities: San Francisco, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Honolulu.
These add-ons are designed to significantly enhance the experience for pilots flying near these cities by adding more realism to the urban landscapes below. While the quality of the existing scenery with photogrammetry is generally good, SamScene has taken extra steps to customize each city, making them even more lifelike and realistic.
SamScene promises to continue this series with new additions in the coming months. For now, USA Modern Cities Vol.1 and Vol.2 are available for $19.95 USD.
