IndiaFoxtEcho and Heatblur Simulations’ highly anticipated F-14 for Microsoft Flight Simulator is “undergoing the final tests and certification process by Microsoft” ahead of release, and is expected to cost $34.99 + VAT, the developer said on Discord.

Having previously teased that the release process was underway, IndiaFoxtEcho said that the earliest the F-14 could release was December 7th, but added: “this is not confirmed yet as it will depend on the test results.”

As for pricing, IndiaFoxtEcho said it “depends on your country VAT…but we do not believe in super-expensive add-ons and we’ll keep it as low as possible. It will be slightly more expensive than our F-35, but not by much – current estimate is 34.99USD + VAT.” The F-14 will be available via the in-game Marketplace (although this version will be unarmed in line with Microsoft’s policies), the Heatblur Store, Orbx, and SimMarket.

The team also said that Xbox testing was underway and they were aiming for a simultaneous release with the PC version. The Xbox variant will be identical to the PC version, except for a non-functional radar.

The team has teased some new images of the aircraft, showing a meticulously detailed cockpit, impressive textures, and the addon’s Jester menu.
