This time, they have focused their efforts on Jackson–Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (KJAN), located in Jackson, Mississippi, United States. This regional airport is located approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Downtown Jackson across the Pearl River, in Rankin County, between the suburbs of Flowood and Pearl.
KJAN is a unique destination for simmers, serving as a civil and military airport. This dual functionality provides an interesting mix of commercial and military air traffic, offering a more diverse flying experience. The airport is named in honor of civil rights activist Medgar Wiley Evers, who was assassinated in Jackson in 1963.
