Headwind Simulations, the developer behind the Airbus A330-900neo, has announced that it is merging with Eastern Aviation Simulations, a team currently working on a recreation of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 for MSFS.

In a statement posted on Discord, Headwind Simulations said that work on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 would continue, but stated that it would not compromise other ongoing projects, including the team’s Airbus A330neo.

While the Superjet100 is currently in its “early stages”, the team said it has “shown great promise” and that “the end result will be worth the wait”.

The Airbus A330neo meanwhile is in the process of a full cockpit redesign, with the team working on both the existing -900neo and its new -800neo.

The team’s statement added: “The merger of Eastern Aviation Simulations and Headwind Simulations is just the beginning of a new chapter in our history. With a growing community, a growing team, and the exchange of knowledge, we are stronger together and ready to take on the challenges ahead.

“We can’t wait to see what the future holds and to continue bringing high-quality aircraft addons to the Microsoft Flight Simulator community.”

In addition to the A330neo, Headwind Simulations is also working on its ‘A21NX‘ project, a collaboration with QBit Simulations to bring the Airbus A321neo to MSFS.
