Here’s the first preview video of the PMDG 737-600 for Microsoft Flight Simulator

PMDG is right on the verge of releasing the second variant of its Boeing 737NG series for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The shorter -600 airframe should be out at any moment, and today we got the first preview video showcasing the airplane in great detail!

YouTuber 737NG Driver took the 737-600 for a test flight, taking off from Las Vegas and heading to the very secretive Area 51. During this preview flight, which you can watch below, 737NG Driver shows us the brand new LNAV and VNAV modules in action. PMDG claims these will be a great improvement over the existing logic and, after their debut in the -600, will also make their way to the existing -700 and subsequent variants of the 737, once they’re ready.

This is a great early look into this cute little 737, arguably the less popular of the several 737 variants, but quite unique in its capabilities. It’s probably most familiar to Scandinavian simmers, who got to see plenty of these airplanes under SAS’ colors!

Last week we learned from PMDG that the 737-600 might be out until the end of this week. We are right on that timeframe, and since the first preview videos are now starting to come out, it must be just right around the corner. For now, enjoy this very first video preview of this new airliner for MSFS, and stay tuned for further details regarding the release. As for pricing, we’re expecting something around $50, as estimated by PMDG a few months ago.
