Paris Charles de Gaulle freeware scenery enhances MSFS 2024 while payware is pending

Paris Charles de Gaulle (LFPG) is one of Europe’s busiest airports, home to Air France and a major stop for airlines from all over the world. It’s a place millions of travelers pass through in real life, and in Microsoft Flight Simulator, it’s a natural choice for long-haul flights into Europe.
There’s just one problem: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 still doesn’t have a payware rendition of CDG. Developers like Pilot Experience Sim and Aerosoft have confirmed they’re working on detailed versions, but nothing is available yet. That leaves simmers with the default Asobo version, which does the job but lacks the depth a hub of this size deserves.
That’s where a freeware project steps in. LFPG-CDG Paris-Charles de Gaulle 2025, created by Xavier Ossedat and available on Flightsim.to, is currently the best way to bring CDG to life in MSFS 2024.
Installing the scenery is simple: just drop the included folder into your Community directory. It’s important not to uninstall the default Asobo LFPG, since this project is designed to override and expand it. If you’ve got other CDG mods installed, those should be disabled to avoid conflicts.
Once active, the difference is obvious. Parking stands have been completely reworked — 335 of them in total — with airline-specific assignments accurate to August 2025. Terminal 1’s satellite junctions have been updated, and cargo aprons like India and Juliet have been rebuilt with new pavement and layouts.

Here are some of the highlights the freeware brings to CDG:
- Parking and gates: hundreds of stands assigned to airlines, using “shadowed” logic where one heavy replaces two smaller stands.
- Taxiways: new layouts, extended Delta taxiway, blue/orange dual-use taxi lines for narrowbodies, and shortened ATC phraseology to avoid long readbacks.
- Lighting: new masts, repositioned windsocks with night lighting, and the addition of runway guard lights and stop bars.
- Operations: pushback guide lines, nose-out parking where appropriate, and red stop bars visible from the cockpit for accurate parking alignment.
- Details: the historic “Turboclair” fog-dissipation system recreated, a heliport with start locations, and ground markings supported by the FS2024 SDK.
The end result is a CDG that should feel much closer to its real-world counterpart, especially for those flying online on VATSIM or IVAO.
Charles de Gaulle is too important an airport to be left to default scenery, and until payware projects arrive, LFPG-CDG Paris-Charles de Gaulle 2025 is the best option available. You can download it now for free on Flightsim.to.
