iniBuilds teases Airbus A340 for Microsoft Flight Simulator

iniBuilds appears to be hinting at the development of an Airbus A340 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. At the conclusion of the trailer for the recently released A350 ULR, a Lufthansa A340-300 with the registration D-AIGU briefly appears, raising immediate speculation within the community about the developer’s next project.

The teaser was further acknowledged in a post on the company’s official Facebook page, where iniBuilds asked followers:

Did you see our little teaser at the end of the A350 ULR trailer? Hello D-AIGU… 👀

While this does not constitute an official announcement, the deliberate inclusion of the aircraft in a highly polished promotional video suggests that the A340 may indeed be in active development for MSFS.

A logical next step in the widebody lineup

If confirmed, the A340 would represent a natural continuation of iniBuilds’ focus on complex airliners for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The systems developed for the A300, A310, and most recently the A350 could provide a solid foundation for the A340, given the operational similarities shared between Airbus widebody types.

The teaser specifically features the A340-300, Lufthansa’s long-standing workhorse for long-haul routes. This variant shares considerable systems commonality with the A330, but features four CFM56 engines.

At this stage, it remains unclear whether iniBuilds is preparing a single variant or aiming for a broader A340 product family, potentially including the -200, -500, or -600 models.

No official confirmation yet

Despite the strong suggestion, iniBuilds has not issued an official statement confirming the development of the A340. There is no information regarding timelines, pricing, or feature sets. The teaser simply indicates that the aircraft is under consideration or already in production.

As always, we will continue monitoring this development and share more information as it becomes available.
