iniBuilds updates its A300 for MSFS with Pratt & Whitney engines, IDC radio panel, and more

iniBuilds has released today a major update to its excellent Airbus A300-600 Airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This new version of the package, v1.1.0, brings a wide range of enhancements and features, most notably the introduction of the Pratt & Whitney 4000 series engines and the IDC 900 system.

The highlight of this update is the new Pratt & Whitney 4000 series engines, which have been a popular choice among various aircraft, including the A300, 747, and MD-11. These engines feature a unique thrust measurement system based on Engine Pressure Ratio, a method that offers a more accurate representation of engine thrust.

The EPR system is particularly noteworthy for its precision, ensuring that the thrust output is accurately measured regardless of engine age or condition.

Another major new feature introduced with this update is the IDC 900 radio panel. Designed as a retrofitted FMS that functions as a radio, the IDC 900 facilitates seamless CPDLC integration, allowing pilots to communicate with ATC using modern text-based messaging.

This system is a nod to the evolving requirements of air traffic control and the necessity for more efficient, safe, and reliable communication methods.

This is a free update, and it’s available now via the iniManager.
