Orbx’s highly anticipated YMML Melbourne Airport coming soon to Microsoft Flight Simulator

One of Orbx’s most anticipated airports, Melbourne’s YMML Tullamarine Airport, is finally coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Initially planned for 2022, the project ended up slipping into 2023, but the delay has only heightened the anticipation for what is expected to be a highly detailed rendition of one of Australia’s busiest airports.

Orbx’s upcoming YMML Melbourne Airport promises a thorough depiction of the airport and its immediate surroundings. The meticulously designed terminals, taxiways, and runways are set to provide a realistic environment for simmers to immerse themselves in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Additionally, the airport will feature custom POIs like landside hotels, car parks, and even Maccas (McDonalds).

The release of YMML Melbourne Airport should be the perfect complement to Orbx’s Melbourne Landmarks, which was released last year. Landmarks Melbourne City Pack brought the cultural and sports capital of Australia to life in MSFS with remarkable detail. The pack added over 200 custom-made buildings, landmarks, and other structures, including the most famous locations in the city such as the Royal Exhibition Center, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Parliament of Victoria, Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne Museum, Collins Arch, Dockland towers, and more.

With the upcoming release of YMML Melbourne Airport, simmers will finally be able to complete the package for Melbourne and experience the rush of flying to and from this major gateway of Australia.

Melbourne Airport, also known as Tullamarine Airport, is the primary airport serving the city of Melbourne, and the second busiest airport in Australia. It has four terminals and serves numerous domestic and international routes. The airport’s diverse range of traffic, from commercial airliners to cargo planes and private jets, provides a variety of flying experiences, and its location also presents unique challenges due to its proximity to the city and the surrounding terrain.

The upcoming release of YMML Melbourne Airport by Orbx is set to capture these unique characteristics and provide an immersive and authentic virtual flying experience that mirrors the complexity of the real-world airport. YMML should be available soon, so stay on the lookout for further news about this exciting new project from Orbx!
