The Tecnam P2006T MKII from FlightSim Studio is now available for Microsoft Flight Simulator

FlightSim Studio AG has released today their latest aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, the Tecnam P2006T MKII. After the controversial launch of the Embraer 175 a few weeks ago, FlightSim Studio (FSS) promises a complete and incredibly realistic flying experience with the P2006T, with numerous simulation features and a beautiful model.

Based on a real reference aircraft, the FSS Tecnam P2006T MKII is an accurate replica that features many animations (including aircraft doors, all cockpit switches, buttons, and knobs), walkaround items, and dynamic load (pax/cargo) depending on aircraft weight. Detailed checklists are included for added realism.

When we first glanced over this product earlier this month we found some impressive visuals, powered by extensive use of PBR materials and highly detailed textures, including decals. Several real-world liveries are included for added variety. In addition, the Tecnam P2006T MKII integrates native MSFS features such as icing and rain effects, which hopefully provide a more immersive flying environment.

This aircraft comes fitted with Working Title’s brilliant implementation of the G1000NXi, a custom STEC-55X autopilot, and a custom tablet, which comes with aircraft options, a Ground Power Unit, a moving map with flightplan support, weight and balance settings, an impressive walkaround mode for pre-flight checks, and panel state saving.

The Tecnam P2006T MKII also includes two operation modes: realistic and easy. The realistic mode includes all circuit breakers integrated for failure simulation, an emergency gear deployment system, a realistic walkaround that is required to operate the aircraft, custom engine start behavior that requires the Rotax to be handled correctly, and persistent saving of aircraft state, including background system logic. The easy mode includes the simplified MSFS engine and startup model, with no functional circuit breakers.

With a maximum cruise speed of 155 knots (287 km/h) and a range of up to 660 nautical miles (1,222 km), the P2006T MKII is a versatile and efficient aircraft suitable for a wide range of missions, from training and touring to surveillance and medical evacuation.
