MSFS Marketplace updated with a new P-40 Warhawk from Flight Replicas, a new Kitfox, and more

While Microsoft continues to struggle to release the huge backlog of add-ons waiting to be available in the Marketplace, the regular weekly Marketplace updates continue to bring smaller batches from that list in an attempt to soften the problem… but still with no great results in sight. This week brings us only a dozen “new” addons, some of which are not exactly new for many PC simmers, but there are a few interesting additions that are worth checking out. Obviously, for the Xbox crowd, this is all new!

Of the 5 aircraft available this week in the Marketplace, there are really only 2 or 3 worthy of your attention. Forget any of the two helicopters from MScenery, which are simply inferior products that could hardly pass as decent freeware. However, the Camair 480 Twin Navion, the P-40N, and the Kitfox may be of interest if you like any of these kinds of airplanes!

Truth be told, only the Flight Replicas P-40N Warhawk is an entirely new release. It’s the third payware P-40 available for MSFS (both iniBuilds and Big Radials have some pretty great iterations of this warbird). Flight Replicas did a great job with the Tiger Moth, so it’s safe to assume that the P-40 follows along the same lines… but the competition is fierce, and the price is not the most inviting.

Both the Camair 480 (Hangar Studios 713) and the Kitfox Speedster 7 (Project Stratosphere) have been available for a while through various third-party stores. Because of that, there are plenty of reviews online for each of these airplanes, so you can make an informed decision when pressing that purchase button (hint: they are both pretty good!).

As for the other categories, there’s really not much to write home about. There are a few new livery packs, a single new airport, and, perhaps more interestingly, a range of excursions flights in Africa, which may be a good introduction to this awe-inspiring continent for those with no idea where to start.

As always, find below the complete list of new releases and stay tuned to hour daily news to learn about other fresh releases for Microsoft Flight Simulator!
