The last few days have been lived with plenty of enthusiasm by MSFS simmers, who have found themselves with so much new stuff to do in the simulator with a bunch of exciting new free aircraft. Besides that fantastic 40th Anniversary update for the sim, there are a few additional payware add-ons to be aware of, as you’ll see below!
The usual weekly rundown of third-party releases is a pretty short one this time, with just 7 new releases. However, most of them are quite interesting!
There are two new airplanes that come from two very different origins. One is Orbx’s latest aircraft, the PAC P-750 XSTOL, a multirole utility aircraft that was released outside the Marketplace last month. It has now landed in the Marketplace, which, besides adding a new way for PC simmers to get the aircraft, also expands the fleet of aircraft available for those who fly on the Xbox!
The other new airplane comes from Deimos, a developer who doesn’t have the best reputation from previous products… Their new aircraft, the G39 Griffin, appears to be based on the Saab JAS 39 Gripen, a Swedish fighter aircraft with a delta-wing and canard configuration. Early impressions from users seem to indicate that this is a better effort from Deimos than previous releases… but tread carefully!
One new launch in the Marketplace that we’re particularly fond of is Italian Coastline, which we featured before when it was known as Project Coastline Italy. It’s an independent project that comes to the Marketplace to significantly overhaul the entire coastline of Italy with the addition of features such as rocks, cliffs, boats, docks, marinas, and much more. Italian simmers on both PC and Xbox will surely appreciate the significant upgrade this brings to the Bel Paese!
Redwing also continues to release new airports as they were around 1935, a very cool project that tries to replicate the gold era of aviation with scenery. This week, LFPN 1935 Tosses-Le-Noble Airport and LFLY 1935 Lyon Brown Airport promise to be great companion airports to existing airplanes of the era!
