Here are the global release times for the 40th Anniversary Edition of MSFS

Excitement is mounting ahead of Friday’s release of the 40th Anniversary Edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Everyone is looking forward to flying one of the stunning new airplanes, which will finally include native helicopters and gliders. This massive update is launching this Friday, and, to help simmers plan around the exact release time, the MSFS team published a list of global release times for locations across the world!

The update will come to most people on Friday, November 11th, but those living in the future (i.e., Asia and Oceania) will get it in the earlier hours of Saturday. Everyone will get it simultaneously, but the different time zones mean different times of the day for each region.

That said, European fliers are probably the luckiest, as the update launches by the time the work day is finishing. London simmers will have the download available around 4:00 PM, when most of Western Europe is already at 5:00 PM. In the US, that’s 11:00 AM in New York and 8:00 AM in Seattle, so many will be flying before lunch. That is, if work doesn’t get in the way…
