It’s out! Orbx releases a new airplane for MSFS: the Pacific Aerospace 750 XSTOL

Orbx is back with a new airplane! The Australian studio, more known for the comprehensive selection of scenery and airport add-ons, seldom ventures into aircraft creation… but when they do, it’s often quite the interesting choice. After an unexpected announcement earlier this week, Orbx has released today the PAC 750 XSTOL, a multi-role utility aircraft designed to operate in the most challenging conditions.

The Pacific Aerospace 750 XSTOL was born in New Zealand in the early 2000s and has since played a versatile role with operators from all around the world. From carrying passengers and cargo to skydiving and agriculture roles, the PAC 750 XSTOL has proven to be a very capable machine, thanks to its unique design and extreme STOL characteristics. In fact, the PAC 750 XSTOL can land in just 800 ft, even in hot, humid, and high climates!

If exploring the remote areas of Papua New Guinea or the high airports of Nepal sounds like your cup of team, the PAC 750 XSTOL is surely be an airplane to consider. Orbx is releasing 4 variants of the aircraft (skydiving, agricultural, cargo, and passenger), so you’ll definitely find one that fits your needs. Climbers going to Lukla for a climb up the Everest? Check. Skydiving in Portugal? Check. Cargo runs in PNG? Check!

Orbx shares comprehensive details about the aircraft on the official product page, showcasing the 4 variants, the differences between them, and all the included liveries. It all looks and sounds pretty neat, especially because Orbx promises a good level of depth in the whole experience.

The PAC 750 is fully IFR capable and this is reflected in the sim. The aircraft is equipped with two COM and NAV radios, EHSI, CDI, and GPS panels. Support for the TDS GTNXi is included and can be enabled through the onboard tablet, which offers a myriad of additional options and configurations.

A good indication of the level of fidelity of the Orbx PAC 750 XSTOL is the inclusion of working circuit breakers. Furthermore, Orbx promises accurate fuel and electronic systems and custom-coded gauges with realistic behaviors!

The P-750 XSTOL is now available through Orbx Direct, priced at USD $24.95 + tax. A Marketplace version will be available at a later date for both PC and Xbox users!

Orbx is already planning for the post-release too. The team promises to add further improvements and features to the package, including a custom PT-6 sound pack, failures, additional liveries, landing challenges, bush trips, and more.
