AmSim has released a new airport in Italy for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Pisa International Airport (LIRP) is a regional airport serving Tuscany and the world-famous city of Pisa. The airport is also known as Galileo Galilei Airport, in memory of the famous scientist born in the town.
Pisa Airport serves a few million passengers each year, who mostly fly with Ryanair, the largest operator in the airport. Besides civilian operations, Pisa Airport is also used by the Italian Air Force as a base for transport aircraft like the C-130 and C-27J.
AmSim is no stranger to Italian airports for MSFS. The developer already brought us some nice bespoke renditions of Palermo and Cagliari, a selection that is now expanding with the addition of Pisa Airport.
For this particular scenery, AmSim yet again offers simmers the possibility to significantly upgrade the existing scenery in an Italian airport with plenty of new and realistic details. LIRP has been recreated from the ground up with a detailed variety of buildings, structures, ground clutter, and more, all covered with high-resolution textures.
MSFS simmers should find LIRP to be now much closer to the real deal. Jetways are animated for added immersion, ground markings have been added to reflect the real-world layout, and dynamic night lighting provides a more authentic nighttime environment.
Now that you can fly Ryanair’s Boeing 737-800 all over Europe in MSFS with PMDG’s fantastic aircraft, AmSim’s rendition of Pisa International Airport for MSFS is definitely a destination to consider on your flights! It’s available now through Orbx Direct, priced at around €15,00.
