As you’ve probably noticed by now, we like to highlight the work of less-known developers who invite us to visit new destinations in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The world is huge, and it’s easy to forget that there are many interesting places to discover away from the more common European and North-American destinations… like Africa… or South America!
VueloSimple is of those developers, devoted to bringing us bespoke airports in off-beat locations like Bora Bora, the Cayman Islands, or Argentina. The latest project from the developers was just released a few days ago and introduces MSFS simmers to Uruguay’s second busiest airport: SULS Aeropuerto Internacional Laguna del Sauce, in Punta del Este.
SULS serves both commercial routes to other cities in Uruguay and nearby countries, and general aviation traffic, which mainly comprises business jets from the rich and famous who find the alluring Punta del Este as the perfect location to enjoy the high life on the South American coast.
Because of Punta del Este’s popularity during the summer months in the southern hemisphere, SULS sees increased traffic at this time, with airliners like the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 bringing in a flock of visitors looking to enjoy some vacations. This makes SULS the second most important airport in Uruguay, after Montevideo airport.
VueloSimple is now offering us the chance to visit this unique destination in Uruguay with an authentic re-creation of Laguna del Sauce airport. We’ve noticed the developer’s increasing attention to detail with each new release, and SULS appears to be one of the best yet. With a detailed exterior that features an accurately marked apron and runway, a high-quality main terminal with interior modeling, a detailed ATC tower, and more, this appears to be a very significant upgrade to the default scenery and a must-have for simmers looking for a custom airport to explore this region!
VueloSimple’s SULS Laguna del Sauce Airport is now available for MSFS and will set you back just around $12.00.
