Orbx teases Prague Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator
Orbx will soon release a new European airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, it will be the beautiful Prague, capital city of the Czech Republic, to get a better version of its main airport. LKPR Václav Havel Airport is in the very final stage of development and will soon be available in MSFS.
Prague Airport was founded 85 years ago and suffered several extensions and improvements over the decades. It currently has two main passenger terminals, two general aviation terminals, and a dedicated cargo facility. With around 50 airliners operating to and from LKPR, Prague is well connected to the whole world, and there are plenty of business and cargo flights as well.
Orbx is putting the final touches on this scenery that includes some nice additional content beyond the airport. As is to be expected, Orbx promises a highly accurate and detailed recreation of LKPR, which respects the latest real-world changes and includes custom jetways and ground services vehicles.
Beyond the airport itself, the developers will also include 21 custom points of interest, like the Motol University Hospital (with its landable helipad), the Hvězda Summer Pavilion, HORNBACH Praha, and more.
Those familiar with the default Prague scenery in MSFS should also notice a significant improvement in the aerial imagery, since Orbx is also adding to this package around 90 km2 of custom orthoimagery that should get rid of the clouding that is visible in the default textures.
LKPR Václav Havel Prague Airport will be coming very soon to MSFS, but Orbx didn’t provide a clear date or pricing. In the meantime, check the trailer video below to see Orbx’s newest creation in action!
