McClellan–Palomar Airport has been released for Microsoft Flight Simulator

After a long hiatus, Dreamflight Studios has returned to MSFS with the release of a new US airport. The last time we heard from this studio was way back in May of 2021, when they released a very impressive rendition of Biarritz Airport. Now, Dreamflight Studios has turned to Southern California, with the release of KCRQ McClellan–Palomar Airport.

McClellan-Palomar Airport is very popular for general aviation, which accounts for the large majority of operations in the airport. With more than 400 operations per day, it’s one of the busiest single-runway airports in the United States, despite seeing very few scheduled commercial flights.

McClellan-Palomar Airport is popular for good reason: it’s located near many businesses and corporations, alongside a wide variety of recreational activities. San Diego is located just 35 miles to the sound, with many popular Californian beaches nearby.

With this new airport, Dreamflight Studios returns to MSFS with another impressively detailed scenery. It was built from the ground up to offer the best that is currently possible with the latest technologies available in MSFS. The developers promise a highly accurate rendition of McClellan-Palomar Airport, with high-resolution textures, an assortment of static aircraft, custom lights, ground vehicles and taxiway signs, and more.

KCRQ McClellan-Palomar Airport is now available for MSFS from a few select retailers, Simmarket and Contrail, but it may soon come to other vendors and the Marketplace as well.
