Orbx releases Molde Airport, another Norwegian pearl for MSFS

The Nordic countries continue to get some good attention from established third-party developers. We recently saw MK-STUDIOS release two Finish airports for MSFS (Helsinki and Rovaniemi), and today it’s Orbx’s time to return to Northern Europe with ENML Molde Airport.

Finn Hansen, who has been making a series of Norwegian airports for MSFS such as ENHF HammerfestENNO NotoddenENAL Alesund and ENTO Sandefjord, follows up on this line again with another beautiful setting near the coast.

Molde Airport is a relatively busy regional airport, mostly due to the daily connection with Oslo, Norway’s capital city. Both Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle fly this route three times a day using Boeing 737s (hopefully we will soon be able to recreate these flights after PMDG launches its 737). Widerøe also serves regional flights to other parts of the country.

This airport is located in an interesting spot, right by the shore and only 3m above the sea, which makes for some spectacular scenery when coming for a landing, especially in times of high seas and tides, as it appears the runway may be engulfed by the sea at any time. It’s also another great airport to set up base and go out to explore the improved scenery and landmarks released with the Nordics World Update.

ENML Molde Airport is now available for MSFS, and you can get it from Orbx Direct at around $16.28 | €14,36 | £12.22.
