Orbx releases ENSD Sandane Airport for MSFS, voted one of the scariest in the world

Orbx continues to expand its airport portfolio in Microsoft Flight Simulator, and the Nordic countries have been a privileged region with a series of releases over the past year. Today, the Australian studio launched a new airport in Norway, Sandane Airport (ENSD), a small but treacherous location that was voted as one of the world’s scariest approaches a few years ago.

ENSD Sandane Airport is located in Norway’s Vestland county and was created by developer Andreas Hegi, who also brought us the recently released ENSG Sogndal Haukåsen Airport. It’s a simple airport, but the developer created everything from scratch in order to achieve high levels of realism and immersion.

Sandane Airport serves only around 40.000 passengers per year, which fly in Widerøe’s Dash 8s to Sogndal and Oslo. While it’s now a bit safer than before due to a runway extension and the installation of improved navigation equipment, Sandane is known for its turbulent approach, which should prove to be a great challenge for adventurous pilots in MSFS.

ENSD Sandane Airport is now available through Orbx Direct for US$10.22 | €8,77 | £7.41.
