Drzewiecki Design releases EPMO Warsaw Modlin Airport for MSFS
Drzewiecki Design is back with a new scenery package for its home country, Poland. After having recently released Kraków’s John Paul II Airport, the developers now turn to Warsaw, Poland’s capital, to recreate the city’s newest international airport: Warsaw Modlin Airport (EPMO).
Modlin Airport is located around 40 km north of Warsaw, and it’s currently used exclusively by Ryanair and business/general aviation. While the airport was built to be used by low-cost airlines, it has been struggling to make a compelling case for itself since its inauguration in 2012. In any case, Ryanair offers flights to around 35 destinations across Europe.
Despite its recent history as a civilian airport, Modlin airport actually has a history that dates back to World War II, where it was used as an airbase by the Luftwaffe. After the war, until 2000, it was used by Polish and Soviet forces.
Drzewiecki Design has now recreated this airport for MSFS, featuring an up-to-date layout and plenty of details both on the outside and in the terminal interior as well. The product images are quite impressive, clearly showing the developer’s attention to detail to provide us with a highly realistic virtual version of this scenery. The static B737 from Ryanair help a lot to make this feel like a real airport.
Besides the airport itself, filled with high-quality buildings and structures throughout, Drzewiecki Design also includes several landmarks in the surrounding area, such as the Modlin Fortress. Despite the extensive details, the developers promise an FPS-friendly scenery that looks great during the day and at night.
EPMO Warsaw Modlin MSFS is now available at Simmarket for around 18€, and should be coming to other stores soon. A release on the MSFS Marketplace is also to be expected, but that should take a few more weeks to come.
