MSFS’s users are everywhere, but some are luckier than others when it comes to the amount of content being developed for their regions. European’s and North American’s are usually the most fortunate, with a huge amount of developers creating a growing number of airports for those regions. Other continents are less lucky, such as Africa or South America. Thankfully, some new teams are emerging, and VueloSimple is one of them, looking to create high-quality airports for Argentina and the remainder of the continent.
VueloSimple is starting with the small airport that serves the city of Mar de Plata, located on the Atlantic coast about 400km south of Buenos Aires. Officially called Ástor Piazzolla International Airport (SAZM), after the famous musician and composer, SAZM handles mostly domestic flights to other Argentinian cities.
VueloSimple is looking to create high-quality scenery for MSFS and SAZM should be a good example of what to expect in the future from the developers. This first airport features hand-crafted structures throughout the scenery, with an accurate representation of the passenger terminal, hangars, car parking, and more, taking into account the latest changes that have been made in recent years. Luggage handling equipment such as carts and trucks are also present, as well as a few more items.
It’s always great to see a good-looking smaller airport anywhere in the world, waiting to be enjoyed by those familiar with that location (simmers are everywhere!) but also for all those explorers who travel around the stunning world of MSFS, discovering new landscapes that are often less known around the world. Having a bespoke airport there can definitely add to the whole experience!
SAZM Astor Piazzolla International Airport is now available through SimMarket for just under $10 / €10, and it’s a great entry from VueloSimple in the airport addon market for MSFS, who are already nearing the completion of a second airport: SAAR Rosario – Islas Malvinas International Airport, to be released soon.
