‘A Guide to Flight Simulator: Extended Edition’ updated with PMDG DC-6 tutorial flight

We have featured SoFly’s A Guide to Flight Simulator a few times already. Now on its Extended Edition, it became popular as an unofficial alternative to the Flight Simulator manual that we didn’t get, and it’s being constantly updated, keeping up with the pace of development of MSFS itself.

The latest version, released this week, brings the Extended Edition to v1.15, introducing a brand new tutorial flight dedicated to the brilliant PMDG DC-6. In a short flight from KLAX to KSFO, SoFly guides us through the entire start-up procedure all the way to the eventual shut down at SFO.

With this new tutorial, ‘A Guide to Flight Simulator: Extended Edition’ reaches a page count of 398. With the continuous updates that MSFS gets, with notable third-party releases to go along, expect to see SoFly continue to add new useful information. The next update is already planned for September, after the release of World Update VI for Flight Simulator, which will bring a host of new content and improvements to Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

To get this new updated version, make sure to head to your original place of purchase. If you’re looking to know more about the guide and purchase it for the first time, check the official product page from SoFly. You can also get the guide from a partner distributor such as Aerosoft.
