Orbx announces Brisbane International Airport (YBBN) for MSFS

Orbx continues with its high rate of development for Flight Simulator, with new add-ons coming basically every week. This time, The Australian studio has announced the upcoming release of YBBN Brisbane International Airport, the third busiest in the country. It will fit nicely with Landmarks Brisbane City Pack, the complete visual overhaul of the city that Orbx has also released a few months back.

YBBN is the main airport in the state of Queensland, serving a large number of domestic and international destinations. Qantas has a huge presence here, with around 700 scheduled flights each week, but in total there are more than 30 airlines flying in and out of YBBN.

Brisbane International Airport comes from the work of Orbx’s talented Havant team, who is building the airport from scratch according to the latest modeling techniques, such as the use of PBR and highly detailed texturing.

Orbx is looking to deliver an accurate and authentic scenery, including the recently inaugurated parallel runway, a massive infrastructure development that has taken 8 years to complete.

Obviously, coming from Orbx, you can expect perfect compatibility with the studio’s Landmarks Brisbane City Pack, resulting in a very complete package for those looking to fly regularly around this region.

YBBN should be out very soon for MSFS. Stay tuned with us over the coming days for a timely update on the release. Note that existing owners of Orbx’s Brisbane Airport for other platforms (FSX and P3D) are eligible for a discount when purchasing this new version for MSFS. Just make sure to make your purchase through Orbx Direct once it releases.

This is a good week for our Australian readers. Just yesterday, Impulse Simulations released Adelaide International Airport, which is curiously another city that has been treated with Orbx’s Landmarks Series, resulting in a fully realistic and immersive package for another big Australian city.
