Kraków John Paul II Airport (and more) released by Drzewiecki Design

It’s been a few months since we last heard about a new MSFS release by Drzewiecki Design. The studio was fairly active in the early months of the new Flight Simulator, with a few very good products such as landmarks packages for Moscow, Seattle, and Chicago, as well as the more recent recreation of Washington National Airport. Now, the developers turned to Europe for their first commercial product in their home country: Kraków’s John Paull II International Airport, in Poland.

EPKK Kraków is Poland’s second busiest airport, after Warsaw’s Chopin Airport. It serves the country’s second-largest city, a beautiful and historic place whose Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Drzewiecki Design recreated EPKK with an up-to-date layout, featuring high-quality models throughout and what the developer calls “epic night textures“. The developers also took the time to work on a variety of interiors such as in the terminal, control tower and hangars, as well as one some rather detailed static aircraft.

Besides Krakow Airport itself, Drzewiecki Design has included two additional highlights on this package. The first one is the inclusion of a second airport, Kraków-Rakowice-Czyżyny (EPKC), a mostly disused airport nearby that receives only very occasional traffic, and is now home to the Polish Aviation Museum.

Additionally, the developers have also included a variety of important landmarks in Kraków, including a totally custom-made Old Town. It’s a really impressive package from the polish studio, and goes to show how some developers go out of their way to create something truly special and comprehensive!

EPKK Kraków by Drzewiecki Design is now available for around 27€.
