Big Radials releases the P-40B Tomahawk

Tired of all those ultralights we’ve seen this week? Then you’re in luck, as today we see the release of a new vintage warbird, this time from Big Radials. They are a newcomer to the world of MSFS airplanes, and have just released their first entry into the new sim: the P-40B Tomahawk, the classic World War II era fighter.

The P-40 was a critical airplane in many battle theaters of WWII, mostly away from the German fighters, which were superior in high altitudes. The P-40 was used extensively in the Eastern fronts and in Northern Africa, and ended up being the third most-produced American fighter of the war, after the P-51 and P-47 (which are also coming to MSFS soon!).

This release from Big Radials is focused on giving both casual and serious simmers an airplane that flies like the real thing, with all the bells and whistles you can expect from a fully native MSFS aircraft: high quality 3D modelling and textures, custom and immersive sounds, and even very useful interactive checklists.

We didn’t have the chance yet to try this legendary warbird, but hopefully we will have our first impressions soon. After all, everyone loves warbird, and this P-40B fits perfectly alongside the excellent FlyingIron’s Spitfire and the MilViz Corsair!

The P-40B Tomahawk is now available through Big Radials’ website for $35.
