Drzewiecki Design has mostly been releasing landmark packs for Flight Simulator 2020, dedicated to Chicago, Seattle, Moscow and Washington, but lately it seems the development studio is shifting some focus to recreating major airports across the world. After releasing Tokyo’s Narita Airport last month, Drzewiecki Design is now launching Washington National Airport for MSFS.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (KDCA), is located just 5 miles from downtown Washington D.C., and is the second largest airport in the area, after Dulles International Airport (which you can also get for MSFS, by Flightbeam Studios).
Washington National is interesting for its challenging procedures, not because of any physical obstacle, but because there’s a number of regulations that need to be considered, both to avoid flying over sensitive landmarks and government buildings and to comply with noise restrictions in the area.
Drzewiecki Design’s is promising a high-quality model of KDCA, completely up-to-date in order the match the current state of the airport. Additionally, the team claims that performance is excellent, considering all the goodies offered here: many custom buildings such as the terminals, control towers, hangars, status aircraft and animated jetways. There’s also an intense work with night textures and lighting.
As mentioned before, it may be a good idea to get Drzewiecki Design’s Washington Landmarks alongside this new airport, in order to get the most epic Washington experience in MSFS.
