Get this free addon for a striking tour to one of the world’s most famous mountains: the Matterhorn

The Matterhorn is a legendary mountain whose shape became a symbols of the Alps. It’s a massive and imposing figure, rising high into the skies near the Swiss/Italian border, and it’s a sight to behold from either the terrain below of from up in the air.

If you’re looking to have a very scenic tour to view the peak from up close, you’ll be disappointed with the default scenery in MSFS. Thankfully, there’s a free addon that recreates the mountain with such a realistic detail that you’ll almost believe you’re there. Courtesy of zkhcohen, this freeware scenery provides a stunning opportunity to visit the place and enjoy some really nice vistas of the Matterhorn and it’s surrounding terrain.

The best way to get there is by departing from Milan Malpensa Airport (LIMC), which sits around 90km from the Matterhorn. Along the way you’ll see the Alps in all their glory, and the Matterhorn peak will be immediately identifiable once you get close. It’s particularly striking on sunrise and sunset, when the sun shines in its top while the world below is still dark. Check our own screenshots to see what to expect!
